Africana Distribuidora, Lda. was founded in 1998 by Alexandre Portugal and Neusa Portugal to distribute magazines and newspapers in Angola, with a focus on national titles such as Jornal de Angola. During the first six months of its partnership with Edições Novembro, E.P., daily sales reached 22,000 copies.
Africana Distribuidora Expresso was the first company to distribute newspapers, magazines and books in Angola and remains the largest operator in this market.
It distributes more than 5,000 newspapers daily and over 6,000 magazines weekly:
2 national titles;
20 weekly newspapers;
30 national magazines.
Africana Distribuidora aims to continue expanding its portfolio and distribution across Angola’s provinces, through sales outlets and resellers throughout the country.
The company has six sales outlets in Luanda, in owned or rented premises, as well as newspaper vendors across the city and a network of resellers in the main provinces.
Its main clients include government bodies through publication subscriptions, the Kero and Casa dos Frescos supermarket chains, and the Pumangol fuel retailer, among others.
Africana Distribuidora distributes all national titles available in Angola. In addition to publications, it distributes tobacco products, stationery and books.
